PM Asks Laos to Jointly Review Non-Double Taxation Between the Two Countries

Phnom Penh: The Prime Minister of Cambodia Hun Sen requested the President of the Kingdom of Cambodia, Mr. Thongloun Sisoulith, to consider ways to remove double taxation between Cambodia and Laos to boost trade relations.

Addressing the meeting with the Prime Minister of Cambodia, the President of Laos, Thongloun Sisoulith expressed his belief in the organization of the SEA Games in Cambodia and also hoped that Cambodia will get more medals in the competition. He went on to thank Cambodia for its assistance to Laos during the Covid19 pandemic, in particular he urging Cambodia to increase existing cooperation and establish additional cooperation.

In response, PM Hun Sen thanked Mr. Thongloun for attending the opening ceremony of the SEA Games and agreed with the President on the relationship between the two countries and what to do next, while he requested Laos to work with Cambodia to No double taxation to encourage investment between the two countries as well.

It should be noted that the President of Laos, Thongloun Sisoulith, visited Cambodia at the invitation of PM Hun Sen to participate in the opening ceremony of the SEA Games on May 5.
